Father in Heaven, Perfect Father, Loving Father, Holy Father, Gracious Father. You are all that we need, all that we hope and dream for—and more. You are both beyond and with us, above and around us, within and outside us.
You are too marvelous to be described in words, too holy to be approached casually and carelessly; but too full of Love and Grace to allow us to stand far off. You call us near; you draw us near; you come to us, over and over again. We rejoice that you come to us.
So, today, in these moments we open our hearts to you and ask you to come in, whether for the first time or for many times. We ask you to touch us with Your Spirit and let us know we are loved. Forgive and cleanse us and let us know we are free from all judgment. Enlighten and challenge us that we may know we have worth and purpose in your sight.
And lead us to live and pray as Jesus our Lord taught us….
Our Father, who art in Heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory, forever. Amen.
